Steve's passion for music was nurtured from a young age in a household that was rich with diverse musical influences. His mother had a love for jazz and the blues, often filling their home with the soulful sounds of artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Erroll Garner and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
On the other hand, Steve's father was an aficionado of classical music and opera. The elegant compositions of Beethoven, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky, along with the dramatic arias of Puccini and Verdi, resonated through their home.
Steve's foundational exposure to music through his parents set the stage for a lifelong exploration of the evolving musical landscape. Born at a pivotal moment, he came of age during the transformative era of the 1960s, a period marked by radical changes in music. This decade introduced Steve to the revolutionary sounds of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Bob Dylan, whose innovative approaches and boundary-pushing compositions broadened his musical horizons.

As the 1960s gave way to the eclectic 1970s, Steve eagerly embraced the emergence of new music styles. He was captivated by the powerful anthems of Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, David Bowie and the vibrant energy of bands like The Clash and Joy Division. The 1980s followed, bringing a new wave of synth-pop and electronic music that intrigued Steve with its futuristic sounds and technological advancements. He found himself drawn to the innovation and unforgettable melodies of artists such as U2, REM, The Police, OMD and Prince.
In the subsequent decades, Steve's musical journey continued to expand. Each decade offered Steve different styles and genres to explore, adding layers to his already rich collection.
